Information you give us directly

We collect the information you choose to provide when you contact us or apply for a vehicle:

• Contact details — name, phone number, email address and preferred language.
• Facebook and Instagram lead forms — when you submit a lead form in one of our ads, Meta passes us the details you entered, such as your name, phone number, email and the answers to our questions.
• Messenger conversations — when you write to us on WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct, Telegram, SMS or by phone, we receive and retain the contents of that conversation, your profile name and the number or handle you wrote from.
• Vehicle preferences — the models, budget, trade-in details and timing you tell us about.
• Employment applications — if you apply to join our team, the information you enter in our careers form.

Credit applications and sensitive documents

To obtain financing approvals, we act as a dealer submitting your application to lenders and partner dealerships. With your authorization, this involves collecting and processing sensitive information:

• Credit application data — Social Security Number (SSN) or ITIN, date of birth, current and previous addresses, residence and housing costs.
• Employment and income — employer, job title, length of employment, and stated income.
• Identity and eligibility documents — photographs or scans of your driver's license or state ID, Proof of Income (POI) such as pay stubs or bank statements, Proof of Residence, insurance documents and, where applicable, immigration or work-authorization documents.
• Banking details needed to fund a deal, such as down payment and payoff information.
• Trade-in information, including vehicle title and registration documents.

How we protect sensitive information

We treat SSNs, driver's license images, POI and similar documents as strictly confidential. Access is limited to the Solly Motors staff working on your approval. These documents are stored in access-controlled systems, transmitted to lenders and dealers over secure channels, and retained only as long as needed for the transaction or as required by law. We never sell this information, and we do not publish or post it.

How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and advise you on vehicles that fit your needs.
• To prepare, submit and follow up on credit applications with lenders, banks, credit unions and partner dealerships in order to obtain approvals on your behalf.
• To locate, order or transport a vehicle and to complete the purchase, lease or financing paperwork.
• To meet our legal obligations as a licensed dealer, including DMV registration, titling, tax reporting and record retention.
• To improve our service, measure the performance of our advertising, and — where you have not opted out — to send you offers that may interest you.

Who we share information with

We share only what is necessary, and only with parties involved in serving you:

• Lenders, banks and credit unions reviewing your financing application.
• Partner dealerships and auctions when sourcing or approving a specific vehicle.
• The California DMV and other authorities for registration, titling and legal compliance.
• Service providers who host our systems, deliver our messages or support our operations, under confidentiality obligations.
• Insurance providers, transport companies and warranty administrators where a deal requires it.

Advertising and social platforms

We advertise on Facebook, Instagram and other platforms. These platforms collect data under their own privacy policies, and when you interact with our ads or lead forms they share the resulting lead information with us. We may also use tools such as the Meta pixel to measure our advertising and reach audiences similar to our customers. Your use of WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger or Telegram to reach us is also governed by those platforms' own policies in addition to this one.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, and opt out of marketing messages. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We do not sell your personal information. Note that we may need to retain certain records — such as completed deal files — to comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and that withdrawing consent for a credit application may prevent us from securing an approval.

Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law, and we apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security; please avoid sending sensitive documents through unsecured public channels when we have offered you a secure alternative.

Children

Our services are directed to adults who can enter into a vehicle purchase or financing agreement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
